I have nothing to say except, this is a favorite. oh, and deeeeep.

Elizabeth Bogard

You captured your subject mid-air so to speak--her arm and the scarf almost seem to be moving. The sobering message of the spatters contrasts with the friendly face and smile and socks a punch to the viewer. A powerful, excellent portrait, Kevin. Liz Bogard

Michelle BarlondSmith

Wow - BRAVO

Janine Shideler

I supposed that you took a picture of her, she looks so unaware of her surroundings and it's so obvious, great painting! This girl will need so much love . . .

Marlene Robbins

Hi Kevin> This is an outstanding painting!Love the way she is smiling and also , her gaze.. Marlene

Janelle Schneider

i really like your beautiful portraits! This one is quietly powerful...

Bruce Combs - REACH BEYOND

Where have I been all this time? This is fabulous. So many comments already, but I haven't seen one on what struck me first: the beautiful texture of the garment. And it fills at least three-quarters of the painting. And, as the other comments mention in detail, it is breath-taking, even without the caption, even without the caption -- at least it was, IS, for me!

Chaline Ouellet

Beautifully done Kevin!

Denny Bond

A powerful portrait with the background setting the mood. Well done! - Denny

Natalie Holland

Powerful!.....Natalie

Mohammad Binlamin

great..great..great

Mats Eriksson

great paintings all of them, but this is my favorite... love the face expression and the colors used, great work! Best, Mats

Charles Peck

really captures her spirit and all the global political stuff going on adds emphasises to her youthful innocence. A risky composition that adds dynamic tension and works for me because she is looking back into the picture and the apparently blood spattered wall which contrasts with effortless appearing rendering of her person and drives the contrast the contrast home between her particular individual humanity and the horror of rag head terror. Powerful piece.

Excellent

Love this so much. I had purchased one for my restaurant 5 years ago. So many compliments received so I ordered a larger one for my living room. Love this artist.

The print quality is disappointing.

May 29th, 2020

The poster looked like someone took a photo of a photo and when the size was increased, it looked very distorted. Looked like something I could have downloaded and printed on a plotter machine myself and saved money

This is my first picture that was lost in transit when I moved. Yes it was beautiful but someone stole it in transit.

Please cancel this order and refund my money including the shipping fee. I mistakenly thought it was poster size, not 8x10. Thank you Carol Swain

Artist's Description

I "found" her in Berlin, a young Muslim girl on the verge of becoming a woman in a violent world. This is from a series of paintings of girls and young women the “Girl, Woman, Girl” series. This is primarily a guerrilla series garnered from digital shots of interesting women from around the world. In many cases (not all) the subjects are unaware they are being observed. I will inform them after the fact (if possible).
