The Isaiah Davenport House is a historic home in Savannah, Georgia, the United States, built in 1820 by Isaiah Davenport was a native of New England .
Davenport wanting a house to show cast his skill as a master-builder, and a home for his large family created this gorgeous Federal-style home. Even though Isaiah was from New England 1810 tax records show Isaiah Davenport owned two slaves and grew up to 10 slaves at the time of his death.
After Isaiah death, his wife operated as a boarding house, then a tenement house the early 20th century.
The house is located at 324 East State Street, on the northwest corner of Columbia Square.
