Description
Every romance, every love story, is different.
Some people take a long time to fall in love, interacting as friends first, and then, through time, deepening and solidifying that friendship into something distinctive that they uniquely share.
Other people feel a spark at their first meeting, an instant and compelling attraction.
Other times, one person knows before the other that they two are the perfect match for each other.
Fortunately for humanity, love and relationships transcend the tiresome predictability of TV and movie romances (indeed, all of life transcends the shallow voice of commercial media), and human beings, throughout history, have found one another, have gravitated toward that one person who completes them, as they in turn complete their partner.
When it happens, it’s magical. And perhaps that is why we love weddings so: weddings are a celebration, amongst family and friends, of two people who have determined to join their forces in life, to walk forward as one while still remaining two distinct individuals. There is power in this relationship, in this commitment, and it is a power of grace, beauty, and freedom.
The artwork, Deep Forest Wedding, celebrates this sense of magic, this realm of goodness that steps into the supernatural, because it is not limited by what we see, touch, smell, hear. A young couple celebrates their first dance in a mystical woods filled with faerie lights; the music to their dance comes from a woman on the flute and a man on the violin – there, but not there, because the couple literally has eyes only for one another.
It is night; the stars glow overhead. And yet in the depth of the forest a warm, golden glow bathes the couple in its embrace. Love is a manifestation of light, and where love is, there is light.
