I am grateful to Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks and Friends of Downs Park for supporting a local artist in commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Downs Park. Joe Barsin was honored to work with Bill Martin, Creative Director for AACDRP, again since this is our second poster together. The first was the poster for Quiet Waters Park of Annapolis.
Joe Barsin's design and Illustration work has been recognized in prestigious annual award competitions including "Print" magazine, "Communication Arts", "Graphic Design: USA", "American Institute of Graphic Artists". His illustrations have been showcased in three editions of the Adobe Illustrator Bible and he has given lectures on computer graphic Illustration. In 2004, Joe illustrated Maryland's Bay Plate, the state car license plate that "Treasure the Chesapeake". Joe is originally from Akron, Ohio, and grew up loving art. He was fortunate to have traveled extensively with his family while a child and experienced art and culture all throughout Europe. He studied Graphic Design at Kent State University, which is recognized among the...
