Thanks for the fave Janal Koenig!

Awesome job! I love that museum, and this zany photo is a perfect use for that giant hand! It would make a great "come hang out at the museum" advertisement. Thanks for submitting it to the Humor Me contest.

Brian Wallace replied:

Thanks Randi, for the nice comment on my image. Are you familiar with that museum?

Hehehe...looks like you had a bit of fun on this one! Great work! v/f

Brian Wallace replied:

Yes I did Kim. I'm extremely shy by nature so while I was in my driveway posing like I could be hanging from something with a remote in my hand and a delay on the shutter, I was wondering who might be watching me from the neighborhood.

Thanks for the nice comment Charles. Best of luck here at FAA!

A very different and unique composition. I love it...;)

I'll take a look!!

Thanks for the nice comment Sarah and Jeff. I have a group for this type of image called OOF - Out Of Frame http://fineartamerica.com/groups/oof--out-of-frame.html?tab=overview. I've included many tutorials on how to do this technique in the OOF group discussion. It's a lot of fun so go to the tutorials and experiment. If you come with something you like, join the group and enter your OOF images.

man these types of images are so cool! How the heck do you do that! haha. great job

Thank you for the nice comment Alison. I appreciate it very much!

Very neat. Love it

Thank you Jolante! This is one of my favorites but ironically, has never received that much response. I appreciate your kind remarks. :)

Fabulously original work!

Thanks Kathy! I'm glad you like it. I really like the 3D stereo versions but I realize most viewers probably aren't prepared for that format.

Great way to fill a large wall without spending too much on a framed picture.

Artist's Description

2D OOF (Out Of Frame), also known as OOB (Out Of Bounds) image of the photographer being dangled outside the picture frame. The giant hand protrudes from the Baltimore Museum of Modern Art at Federal Hill in Baltimore, Maryland. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

About Brian Wallace

I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau.
