Our luxuriously soft blankets are available in two different sizes and feature incredible artwork on the top surface. The bottom surface is white. Our 100% polyester blankets are available in two different styles: plush fleece and sherpa fleece. Plush fleece blankets are soft and fluffy on both sides, whereas sherpa blankets are smooth like a soft sweater on the artwork side (i.e. shorter threads) which provides for a sharper image. Looking for a recommendation? Go with a 60" x 80" plush fleece blanket. It's soft and luxurious on both sides... the artwork looks incredible... and the size is just right for everyone.

�Dusk at the Refuge� 12 x 16, Oil on Masonite, 2006 was a break out of the box thing for me. This painting is as simplistic a scene as I had painted up to this point in time.
I have since then been experimenting with keeping my landscapes as pictorially �pure� as possible while using a minimum number of colors. My goal in this was to give the impression of the use of a full palette. It seems to me this can be done by using more color values and less colors.
By keeping the contrast of my work on a relatively more intense side, I think I was able to achieve this.
The past few years I have noticed that my work is becoming more intense when in reality my initial intention was to keep my palette toned down.

Born in Philadelphia in the late thirties, Jim Gola grew up heavily influenced by art and the cultural atmosphere contained in this bustling city. The city of brotherly love is still a thriving east coast art market that comprises some of the oldest art schools and galleries in America. Jim admits to spending numerous hours at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and the Philadelphia Museum of Art as a youngster. Admiring much of the work of Americas past masters such as Inness, Moran, Chase, Homer and Bierstadt, among others. He then started to generate his lifelong love of oil painting.
