©Seth F.Weaver, Sr. 04/15/08. Acrylic on 16×20″ stretched canvas. I came across this photo of an eagle with his kill sharing his carrion with two ravens and I couldn’t help but see some type of political statement in this scene.

Seth I was thinking of this painting the other day. I watched an Eagle take a very big fish from the river - then the Raven came and tormented the Eagle all the way back to the nest in hopes the Eagle would drop the fish....
Seth Weaver replied:
Thank you so much Bob for your comment. This work has never been a big favorite among viewers and I don't know why?

Very interesting piece, I see what you mean about having a political statement. The Raven is also highly respected as a sacred animal to the First Nation peoples.... Considering the history this piece is quite iconic in symbolism, Love it Seth!! F/V
Seth Weaver replied:
The symbolism in this work has become more apparent to me over the year as I look back at it. Thank you Barbara for your compliment and visit.

The subject matter draws me in, the colors keep me there, and the description seals the deal! Love this! v/f

I can take this as political statement a couple of ways, now were did I put my idealism :) Well done Seth! V/F
Seth Weaver replied:
My crazy mind sees things were there are no things. I think you left your idealism in your other pants?
