Description
"One of my earliest memories is of my older brother Thor taking me on a walk along the river near our home in Wyoming. The grass and mud, the river's rush and ripple, the ducks eyeing us and quacking, all left a delightful impression on me. What I remember most clearly, though, is the water (garter) snake we found. Thor gently picked it up and, saying, "Be careful not to squeeze it," held it for me to touch and see. The wonder of that moment stayed with me ever since, and I have never been afraid of snakes or squeamish about any creature. What a special big brother!"

I visited your gallery today and I want to say thank you for sharing your art! I'm deeply moved by your talent and the stories you've painted. In many cases I can easily relate to your beautiful childhood. I also grew up in the country... I was surrounded by the most beautiful nature, my first teacher was my father and my older siblings. To this very day I consider my childhood to be a paradise... and I hope that some day in the future we'll all meet again...Love your art, Dawn!
