Description
Early Reflections was created by manipulating Polaroid Time Zero Film as it was developing. The emulsion on Time Zero Film is very thick and composed of separate dye layers. These dyes are kind of like peanut butter and can be moved by applying pressure to the protective coating on the very top of the film. You can see the layers of dye overlap like transparent ribbons and how the emulsion is distorted creating mountains and valleys on the image. My reason for making these images was to push the limits of the old technology and incorporate it into the new digital world of film. These images really stand out in a crowd and are very vibrant and colorful. Please feel free to leave a message if you have any questions or comments.
