Found a beautiful bone yard beach where the ocean is slowly eating away at the forest on Edisto Island about an hour outside of Charleston. Once we got on Edisto Island we had to drive many miles on this little tiny dirt road to get out to the beach once we passed the empty ranger hut. We then had to hike about a 1/2 mile but it was oh so worth it. i have never been on a beach where the ocean comes up into the trees. I will have to go back during high tide to see the waves breaking in the tree line. Oh and taking any shells or item from the beach would result in a 460.00 fine. Odd number for a fine.
