To get to Elim Beach (Cape York) one travels by 4WD from the Aboriginal town Hopevale through beautiful white sand dunes. This image was taken from Elim Beach at low tide looking to the right. One can see Cape Bedford rising up. There’s a Fig Tree in the foreground.
On the other side are the coloured sands. You can drive along the beach around here at low tide but if you don’t stay up at the very edge there is a risk of getting bogged. Not a good place to be when the tide comes back in!
