Like many, this covered bridge goes by a few names. It's called the Stowe Hollow for the area of the town of Stowe it's in. It's called Gold Brook for the waterway it crosses. (Yes, gold was found here once.) It's also called Emily's bridge.
The best version of her story I've seen says "poor Emily, daughter of a mid-1800's farmer, found herself in 'a family way', was deserted by her lover, and hanged herself in the bridge. Occasionally, on moonlit nights her ghost may be seen wandering through the bridge still looking for her lover." *
