There is a full moon on Empty Crosses and Empty Crocks to depict the glory of God to all the earth. It is intended to remind that life is fleeting as we wear down become broken and eventually return to dust. Yet reminding us that the best is yet to come as we are closer to entering into the Kingdom. The cross is the symbol of death and Resurrection. Christ has paid the price for us all.
