Eye focusing. Conceptual computer artwork of a human eye focusing on a bird (far right). Light rays from the bird are projected onto the light- sensitive retina (far left) at the back of the eye. Focusing of the image onto the retina is mostly carried out by the cornea (bulge, centre left). The lens (oval, left of cornea) is involved in fine-focusing (accommodation).
