Tapestry Reviews (17)

Average Rating (3.82 Stars):

I bought this tapestry for my mother who is in the final stages of lung caner. I wanted to brighten her room and bring her some cheer. I paid extra to have it shipped Next Day Air. We received the package 5 days after ordering. However, I was very diappointed at the taperstry when I opened it. It is very blurry and distorted. The fabric is OKAY somewhat thin, but not terrible. I have ordered many tapestries from another company recently as Christmas gifts for 1/2 the price that are way better quality and very clear and vibrant. I will not order again from Fine Art America....

Excellent quality. I am so pleased with my purchase, it's much better than I imagined. The image is crisp clear and the fabric is very good quality and hemmed all around. I have bought it to hang in my apartment in Tenerife which we have called The Kestrels as these birds fly and hover around it all day. I can't wait to return and hang it on the wall.

This is becoming the focal point of a four poster bed canopy.

It’s been almost two months and I still haven’t gotten my package after contacting Fine Art America multiple times. Would not buy from them again.

Is so perfect the way that this tapestry fits my bedroom wall! Love it

Artist's Description

The lion (Panthera leo) is one of the five big cats in the genus Panthera and a member of the family Felidae. The commonly used term African lion collectively denotes the several subspecies found in Africa. With some males exceeding 250 kg (550 lb) in weight, it is the second-largest living cat after the tiger. Wild lions currently exist in sub-Saharan Africa and in Asia (where an endangered remnant population resides in Gir Forest National Park in India) while other types of lions have disappeared from North Africa and Southwest Asia in historic times. Until the late Pleistocene, about 10,000 years ago, the lion was the most widespread large land mammal after humans. Highly distinctive, the male lion is easily recognized by its mane, and its face is one of the most widely recognized animal symbols in human culture. Depictions have existed from the Upper Paleolithic period, with carvings and paintings from the Lascaux and Chauvet Caves, through virtually all ancient and medieval cultu...

About Judy Whitton

I am a self taught photographer and a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. My love of photography started out in the late 60's when I was given a box camera to use. Back then the rolls of film I was given to use were few and far between. So, that taught me to be very selective about what I took photos of. Somewhere along the line I was given a 110mm instamatic camera and didn't buy my first and only 35mm camera, a Nikon EM, in the early 80's. In 2002 at a family reunion, my uncle was showing me his digital camera. I was totally fascinated at the idea of being able to take as many photos as I wanted without having to buy film or have it developed. Shortly afterwards, I bought my first digital camera, the Sony Mavica CD400. I used...
