Artist's Description
This started out as a painting of a womans face looking up, however as I worked on it and completed the first eye, I thought it looked well on its own, so I decided to surround the eye with leaves. I picked red as I thought the red would be a great contrast to the black and white of the eye. My brother loved it and bought it!

I am an Irish gal, born in Dublin, lived in the heart of Galway that is the lovely 'Joyce Country' of Connemara for a chunk of my childhood years, then moved back to Dublin in my teens and now I'm back in the country again in Co. Laois. As a child I always loved anything fantasy or magical like, the first time I could pick what present I wanted for one of my very young birthdays with my father, I picked a witch doll. This interest has always stayed with me. I feel that my childhood in Galway has also played a major part in my style and inspirations today.
