Black and white animal ink illustration of a fallow deer stag.

Created using one of my own photographs as reference, I made this drawing using micron marker pens and a rotring isograph for the darkest areas.

Fallow deer are large spotted deer native to Europe, I was lucky to spot this stag, along with a large herd of other stags at Bolderwood in the New Forest National park in England. Photographed in late Autumn, the stags all had grown their impressive full antlers.
