Artist's Description
Very computer altered image of a tuft of grass above a valley. Where I seem to be heading with my work is the mental process wherein the original photograph or painting is simply one step towards the final product, which is the digitally manipulated image. I promise to go back to straight painting again sometime soon, but having to much fun doing this right now!
About Wayne Potrafka
I have been a producing artist for over 30 years, starting out as a potter/sculptor back in my native Michigan. I now paint, work with mixed media, and a bit of photography. . .and now and then, a little clay! I have become known primarily for my work in a dimensional, recycled mixed media w/acrylic, and all of my originals are also available as prints and as cards. Joining Fine Arts America has led me to pull out some of my old images, and to find a renewed interest and pleasure in the techniques and styles that I have passed through over the past few years.
