I love my new mug, and the forest scenario on it it’s calming and just beautiful
This is the polarized light photomicrograph of a crystallized drop of Aperol, the italian alcoholic beverage used to make the famous "spritz" aperitif. I had never taken photomicrographs of drinks, also because there's somebody - Michael Davidson - who does this job at an unbeatable level. But after a conference where I showed Davidson's "Bevshots" and my rock photomicrographs, a guy came to me and said "You should try Aperol". I did it and the result is what you see here. Isn't it fantastic?
