The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

I used infrared to capture this old barn and field in N. California.
This image is one of my Feng Shui series. The presence of this image in a home or business environment creates a sense of focus. While much household ornamentation can be appreciated for its aesthetics, in feng shui the primary purpose has been to solicit good fortune for it's inhabitants. Our surroundings project onto our moods and spirits. The things we look at, even if just a glimpse, effect our subconscious. We can accomplish harmony by using art which is first of all aesthetic ,but also functional to create a sense of ease and good fortune in our everyday lives.
My current passion is an alternative photographic process called Polaroid transfers. Each transfer is hand-made by the photographer using specific materials and equipment to achieve a desired effect. A transparency is projected on to professional Polaroid print film and as development begins, the print and chemicals are prematurely separated. The image is transferred on to dampened watercolor paper for a unique image which has a dated, artistic photo-painting appearance. Exposure, pressure, time, paper and other variables make each print an original mono-print.
