This is one of three pieces that I am adding to my collection. Once I have received the other two pieces I will be happy to provide a photograph of the display. The quality of the art piece is exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase even more pieces!

We were disappointed that the name of the artist is cut off and not showing in full. We feel the name of the artist is an important part of it and would love to have it rectified

We live in the desert so the Palm theme resonates. The color scheme is brilliant and perfect. We would like to see more from this artist. Where do we look?
Artist's Description
Major Don M. "Buzz" Beerbower leads a flight of P-51 Mustangs in a bit of cloud hopping as they wing their way home after a mission during the busy weeks immediately after D-Day, June 6, 1944. "Bonnie B II," named for his infant daughter, was Beerbower's second assigned Mustang, which he and his crew chief had taken pride in repainting recently. The bulbous "Malcolm Hood" canopy offered vastly superior all-around vision over the older framed "throwover" arrangement, and Don was one of the first in his unit to have his plane so equipped. The ops tempo was such at this time that engine exhaust and overflow oil stains nearly obscure the impressive tally of Don's aerial victories they had carefully painted under the cockpit.
Hailing from Hill City, Minnesota, Beerbower was part of the original cadre of 354th Fighter Group pilots. Their very thorough stateside training paid off, and many 354th pilots went on to achieve 'ace' status in the P-51. Don, while only 22 years old, proved...
About Wade Meyers
Wade Meyers spent his early years at Fort Bragg, North Carolina before his family moved to Bossier City, La. when he was ten years old. Fulfilling a dream, Wade soloed a Cessna 150 at age 17 and went on to earn his Commercial and Flight Instructor pilot certificates. After high school, he earned a B.A. in History from Louisiana State University in Shreveport while serving in the US Air Force Reserve at Barksdale Air Force Base. With marriage came a move to the beautiful Birmingham, Alabama area. Diving in head first, Wade quit his job at an aviation museum in 2003 and began to work full-time as an aviation artist. He started accepting commissions immediately, and to this day his work is primarily commission-driven. Along with his...
