Karen Cattel is a special artist and her whimsical art looks great on the two sturdy totes I purchased. One is a gift for a friend and the other is for me. I love them.

I so appreciate being able to have this old-fashioned outdoor dinner scene on a tote bag. It is adorable. Thank you for making it available.

I noted that the color came out differently on this size of bag, it is distinctly more purple. I happen to love that color also--the larger size has perfect color, exactly like the photo. I love both of my bags.

Artist's Description

For Chris-Pin Martin (1893-1953) {far left} it was a homecoming of sorts. "Desperado" had a brief scene in Tucson Arizona's historic barrio, on South Meyer; Martin's birthplace 43 years before.

Star of the picture Nino Martini (1905-1976) {center} was an Italian actor and operatic tenor who made only a few films.

While at the U of A, I studied with the master black and white photo essayist W. Eugene Smith (1918-1978) the last year of his life. I am the last person cited in Jim Hughes' definitive biography of Gene, as I wrote about attending his final...
