Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life. -- Congratulations on your recent sale of an amazing work

Artist's Description

Photograph from glass negative shows the FIRST powered, controlled, sustained flight: 12 seconds over 120 feet. Orville Wright is at the controls of the machine, lying prone on the lower wing with hips in the cradle which operated the wing-warping mechanism.
