Description
My Ballet des Fleurs series continues with this 4th installment. I really worked hard on this one! Once again, I started it plein air from a lovely flower in Lillian's garden in Boulder, Colorado. I started it during Club Tuesday, and then it sat in my studio over the summer. I began working on it again during fall at Lillian's studio time which is now called Oasis, but then I brought it into my studio and worked many layers onto it using both brushes and palette knives. It has mostly silver highlights on the leaves, but there are also a few bronze highlights as well. I finished the piece in very late December, 2012.
