Another from my fall '08 trip to San Miguel de Allende Mexico. To the south and west of the city one passes over high grassland country which in September-October produces vast acres of wild flowers that mass together in blankets of color. Imagine this scene mile after mile! Eventually in late October-November the flowers die off and these fields become primarily dried grass with no hint of the of the orgy of color that came before. I was also attracted to the dramatic sky in this setting and again the many planes going back to the distant mountains. Look carefully and you'll see bits of a large lake behind the distant tree line.
