Description
Colored Pencil drawing of bay-colored horse rearing up and feeling free to run and play out in the meadow. Everyone needs to let loose once in awhile, even horses. I remember watching our horses out in the field as a kid, and seeing them rearing up, bucking, and chasing each other in a game of tag, having a good ole time. Wanting to capture that memory, I did the horse here in Free to Run using Prismacolor colored Pencils on standard drawing paper. Beautiful Sherry! I can feel the horses energy in your drawing! I can picture you as a little girl watching those playful horses in the field from reading your story. Love it.

Thank you for stopping by and commenting Darlene! Yes, I sure did enjoy watching them run and play when I was a kid...how I miss those days of spending time just sitting in the field on a nice day and watching them...of course, they'd get curious and have to come see what I was up to though. They'd come charging up to me and swerve away at the last minute, playing their version of the game of "chicken" I think. If you made the mistake of running, they'd chase you...but, hold still and they'd just turn on a dime at the very last minute...horses are amazing at how graceful they can be for such large animals!
