Thank you Roy! I've used the info you sent me in my description for this image :)

Beautiful Image, wonderful color against the blue sky. In Florida, this is a Queen Palm, the fruit is edible, sort of, or can be used to make jelly, or as we used to do - feed them to the hogs. the nut inside the fruit looks like a tiny coconut.

Thank you Stephen! Finally nice to know what it is :)

A Fig Palm, we have these all over Las Vegas during Fall!

Awesome product. Got it in today and hung it up. Was a bit cautious having it shipped especially through UPS but it was packed super well and came in perfect condition even though UPS always beats up my boxes. Definitely will be lifelong decor considering the quality of the maple it is printed on. Would certainly recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing this.

This is a birthday present for my brother. And this is the first time I've ordered from this website. Let's get the party started.

I love the piece so much! How well it works in my whimsical blue garden! I just did not know to depict the rabbit hole in the Alice in Wonderland area that this is the perfect conceptual representation. It is beautiful and whimsical. As I had to place it on a stump where a branch had been sawed, I hired a one skilled with a jigsaw to round the edges a bit for visual believability and, after attaching it to the stump, added tiny pieces of bark around the edge to help it blend with the stump. Great discovery!

Artist's Description

Fruit of The Queen Palm is a tall palm tree on property next to my family's home in Englewood, Florida. The following is great information from native Floridian, Roy Erickson who is a photographer/artist on FAA: The fruit are 'edible', stringy, and have a hard 'nut' in the middle. They can be gathered up and fed to the hogs - what you didn't gnaw on for the taste. The 'nuts', after the fruit was gone were used to 'pave' the sandy drive. They also use the fruit when ripe to make jelly - or they used to; much like the 'jelly palm' which is really the "pindo palm."
