This painting makes me happy!! The colors are really fun and, like his other pieces I own, expertly painted. I want to live in this cottage and walk into the ocean. Ordered it on canvas - well executed. Thank you for the smiles!
Artist's Description
This painting was created to accompany a poem called "Some Things I Know to Be True" by Kathe Schaaf, co-founder of Gather the Women, an international organization. I wanted every women seeing this work to identify with at least a part of it. There are small motifs going around one circle representing women's handiwork. Two symbols of the sacred feminine, the downward triangle and the spiral, are in the center. There is a blue river of electricity connecting women in the outer circle. Close examination reveals many other subtle references. Price of original includes beautiful wood frame (pic on request)
About Charlotte Backman

There is great satisfaction in creating mandalas "from scratch." ...

Charlotte, all of your mandala's are extremely beautiful. This one is my favorite. The red and green tones complement eachother very well...and the center spiral is just perfect.
