LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

One of the best Father’s Day gifts for my husband in awhile - I LOVE this cartoon. We have a dog and a cat and this could not be more spot on. Kudos to the artist!

I had these cups sent to my friends who grew up driving a jeep truck just like this. They loved the gift and thank you for having it to purchase. Good work.

Can you put 1955 instead of 57, if not it's ok

Very happy with the coffee mug

Artist's Description

In the later stage of the Pacific war, Japanese Naval pilots who had been flying since the beginning of the war were few in numbers. When one of these pilots was encountered, he was able to take the Kawanishi N1K2 Shiden-Kai and wield it like a Samurai sword. In this artwork, one such pilot from the 343rd Kokutai(Air Group)(Genda's Blade, Squadron of Aces) in defence of Southern Japan has got the better of an F6F-5 Hellcat pilot of VF-17 from the USS Hornet in early 1945.

About Mil Merchant

This artwork is relatively new in the art world, a new kind of art. As opposed to conventional painting or photography, digital art allows a person to render any image on to any scenery, thereby creating a whole new class of artists. What it also allows those of us who are historians, is to create photos of military history like they were just taken, instead of some historical grainy black and white photo. While these artistic creations may not be considered 'real' art or genuine photography, it is undeniable that this kind of art is here to stay. It has been referred to as 'Digiart'. I am one of those Digital Artists. I do military art. My name is Mike Colclough .
