This is my wife’s favorite painting. She saw it in Paris at age 16 and she’s now 72. She wrote 3 novels centered on the experience of seeing the painting. She was happy to receive it as a gift, but we really want a much larger version and hope you can provide one.
This is a series of pastel sketches of a jockey and rearing horse. The centre drawing shows the horse starting to rear as the jockey tries to keep control, then the rider attempts to stay in the saddle as the horse rears high into the air. Finally , both horse and rider fall to the ground. A great series of three images in black and white pastel.
Perhaps best known as a figurative artist, with strong influences from Popart and French Impressionism movements, my main subjects are dancers, musicians, & fashion. I also enjoy experimenting with a variety of other subjects and media including digital art and photography, with images ranging from vintage vehicles to wildlife.
