A beautiful sunset over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, one of the most romantic man-made structures on the planet.
-- Artist Notes -- Although it looks peaceful here, the waves were crashing onto the rocks with quite a bit of force and blowing ocean spray all over the place. The sun was setting so I knew I had to move quick to try and tame the waves so I decided to shoot a long exposure to enhance that nice reflection in the foreground and give it a misty effect.
To get this shot, I had to kneel down right on the edge of the water in front of the camera as the waves were saturating my shoes just so I could block the spray from getting onto the lens and from sweeping my equipment away into the ocean. Although freezing after standing in the water for so long I got back to dry land afterwards with a big smile on my face, knowing that I got the shot!
