Description
This simple, practical and pretty grain barn sits at the edge of a corn field on a Farm in Sarpy County, Nebraska. It's not that far from the farmhouse and some other barns and outbuildings, so the grasses around it are kept mowed and tidy. Here the building and a large tree on a rise next to it are reflected in the early summer rain water that has collected in a low area or pond in front of them. Presented here in a square crop format, this image is also available in a horizontal crop with more space on the right that includes more of the cornfield than the glimpse you get here; visit my Farms - Farmhouses Barns and Outbuildings gallery to see it. This image would make a great Father's Day card or gift.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

Wonderful image. The other version is fantastic as well. L/F

Thank you, Mark. I don't usually post two versions that are this similar, but I just could not decide between them.
