Description
This is a painting of the south rim of the Grand Canyon on a windy, March day. We hiked the trail along the entire rim, not daring to venture down into the canyon due to the ice and cold. Each time we passed a visitor's center, we ducked inside to warm up before continuing on our adventure. It was a memorable day laden with unforgettable, iconic views. What a treasure our national parks are.

That is exactly what we did when I took the photo that inspired me to paint this! My brother lives in Sedona and we of course visited the Grand Canyon while we were there.
