A Common Wombat (Vombatus ursinus) enjoying its evening meal.
Wombats are herbivores native to south eastern Australia. They favour the cool, moist and mountainous terrain of the alpine areas of New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Adults are up to 1 metre in length and weigh up to 25 kg.
