Striking crepuscular light rays and spring blooms on a spring evening from the Blue Ridge Parkway near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in western North Carolina. The southern Appalachians are an incredible sight during the spring bloom, offering up rich colors in the new foliage and dramatic skies as thunderstorms pass through the Blue Ridge Mountains.
