A great white egret takes flight from Brushy Creek Lake in Cedar Park, TX toward the early evening, sunlight.The Great Egret, also known as Great White Egret, is a large bird with all-white plumage that can reach 3.28 feet (1 meter) in height, weigh up 2.1 pounds (950 grams) and a wingspan of 65 to 85 inches (165 to 215 cm). It is thus only slightly smaller than the Great Blue Heron. Apart from size, the Great Egret can be distinguished from other white egrets by its yellow bill and black legs and feet.

The quality of my work, I believe, is the result of three factors: commitment, hard work and natural abilities. I became an artist during my early teens by spending time at the local library and learning some basic techniques for drawing and painting. Although I have had very little training since that time, I am pleased with what I have accomplished so far.
