Description
The effects of Hurricane Sandy are still present in Ocean City NJ, Cleanup continues and the summer season will start on Memorial Day as usual but some things will be different. On the upper end in Longport they are dredging to provide sand for the beaches on the lower end. On our arrival at 59th St we found that the main entrances were blocked off as sand blocked all the entrance ways. The beaches have dunes 10-15ft high providing a natural wall from the sea, the jetties and breakers are rearranged and the old fishing pier is only eight lonely posts n the water. There are roads between the dunes and boulders strewn about giving the impression that we are in a sandbox with the construction equipment acting as childrens toys. It seems even as an adult it would be fun to drive and operate this equipment like when I was 5 yrs old playing with Tonka trucks at the beach. This image allows the viewer to have that felling of being a kid at the beach on vacation and would be a great editon to any office or room.
