Awesome and beautiful imagery, Farah, and I love the composition and colors and beauty of this fine piece. Great job, my friend! I am very proud of you for this wondrous imagery! I do have a little bitty question, however, and it is, "I have left a few "dates" hanging, and should I be "hung out to dry" for my indiscretions? LOL Hope you have a sense of humor, as that is all it was meant to be, as remember, you are dealing with "Elvis"! I truly love the composition, color, and subject of this fine shot, Farah, as I have never, actually seen a growing "date" fruit before, other than the ones in the store, in a box. This is really a unique and rare treat for me. Thanks so much for sharing, and you surely got the big "Elvis" F/V on this unique and special beauty! Sorry for the humor! Just had to!

Farah Faizal replied:

Lol, that was a nice comment, Randy. Dates ripen when heat ( temperature ) is the maximum here I'm summer. Fresh dates will be available in market for a while and then I guess they take it to process. Fresh ones doesn't last for long.

Farah Faizal replied:

Randy, i would like to add, Dates can be kept for years and are available year-round, but the freshly harvested fruits are far superior in texture and flavor, and are one of the great seasonal treats.

Superbly photographed, Farah~~beautiful colors!!! F&V!

Farah Faizal replied:

Will, ThankYou. I was just trying out my recently bought digi cam Nikon P300.

Good composiion showing the colors, textures and shape of the date palm. V

Farah Faizal replied:

Mary thank you for the nice comment and vote. I really appreciate it.

Beautiful colors--unusual image! Never knew how dates grew.

Farah Faizal replied:

Wayne, ThankYou. Dates ripen during summer, and I personally love the taste of fresh dates, what we get in market is the dried ones and so dark in color.

Thank you, Randy...I love fresh dates than dried ones...these ones are yet to ripe...

This is just beautiful, Farah, as many of us, including myself, have never seen dates in their natural surroundings, only in packages at the local grocery! But, as my Grandpa used to say to me, "Never keep a date waiting", and that was good advice! LOL When do they harvest these for selling or eating? I would be very interested in anything you could share about this! Thanks so much, Farah, for sharing your unique photo ops with us!

Thank you for the feature, Beth.
