The Hawaiian Heliconia, Parrot's Beak 'Golden Torch' grows here on the Hawaiian island of Molokai. Their flowers consist of brightly colored waxy bracts with small true flowers peeping out from the bracts that look like parrot's beaks. The flowers can be hues of reds, oranges, yellows, and greens. The plants typically flower during the wet season, and are often pollinated by hummingbirds.
