Description
Heart cell differentiation. Fluorescence deconvolution micrograph of a cultured adult myocyte (heart cell) differentiating. Cell nuclei are blue and receptor proteins are red. Actin fibres, part of the cell's cytoskeleton, are green. This cell is in the process of dedifferentiating to a neonatal form and then reforming as an adult cell. This is part of the repair process.
