Description
"Heart of Wisdom" combines a number of symbols that convey wisdom - both the intellectual and spiritual kind. At center is the heart (the seat of emotion), with spiraling forms, adorned with wings (divinity, freedom). Together they suggest the form of an owl - an animal sacred to Athena, ancient Greek goddess of wisdom, civilization, strength and strategy.
At the top, a Native American shaman's eye offers wisdom and protection.
Also present are two West African adrinka symbols. The one that looks something like a heart with roots stands for "learning from the past" - a highly valuable skill, indeed. The other (bottom center) is the Knot of Wisdom, which indicates intelligence, wisdom and cleverness.
