Pablo: Wishing that the circular portion of this rose window image was indeed a CIRCLE and not squashed into a slightly horizontal ovular shape. Weird to present it this way - it would have been an easily solved problem with Photoshop beforehand

Herman Melville was an American novelist, short story writer, and poet, born on August 1, 1819, in New York City. He faced challenges in his early life, including the death of his father when he was young, which forced his family into financial struggles. As a young man, Melville worked on whaling ships, which greatly influenced his later writings. His experiences at sea inspired some of his most renowned works, including "Moby-Dick," published in 1851, which explored complex themes of obsession, revenge, and the human condition. Despite initial mixed reviews, Melville's unique narrative style and deep philosophical insights eventually gained recognition, leading him to be celebrated as a major literary figure.

Throughout his life, Melville's writing evolved, reflecting his personal struggles and changing perspectives. After "Moby-Dick," he published several other novels and short stories, including "Billy Budd" and "Typee," but none achieved the same level of acclaim during his...
