This Hibiscus along the walk way was such a magnificent color of deep pink that it carried a coral cast. These tropical flowers grow in many colors, many of which are hybrids.
The official state flower of Hawaii is the yellow hibiscus, but it seems the red ones are more popular. They are seen growing more often than most other colors.
The Hibiscus is a member of the Malvaceae family of flowering plants. They grow mostly in warm tropical climates.
