This is my first purchase from Fine Art America. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted to hang in our newly renovated master bathroom wall. I searched all over the internet and then came upon Fine Art America online. It took months of searching but when I came upon Carol Robinson's collection I liked her style and soft, airy prints. I found Lost Horizon and knew right away that was the look I had been searching for. I like that I was able to choose the print size, frame, and mat that helped procure the look I wanted. Artist's Description
While on a camping trip in Southern British Columbia we came across this shop on a dusty road in the middle of nowhere. Later, every time I looked at the original picture I always ended up wondering where all the hubcaps came from. Years later I ended up completing the story by digitally adding the flying hubcap and dust from a passing car. A surreal glow and bold color adds a dreamy atmosphere.
About Randall Paar
Hi, A little bit about me... I'm originally from Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada but for the past 5 or so years live in the Chicago Illinois area. I've always been involved in creative activities since childhood. I started practicing with pencil sketches under the coaching of a talented and patient mother. My father was also an avid photographer and in 1971 at the age of eleven I borrowed his old camera and was shown by a friend how to develop B&W film - which launched my interest in photography. Around the same time I learned the basics of oil painting and dabbled in this producing about 12-15 works between the early seventies through the mid eighties. My artistic interests led me to explore other forms of reproduction...
