Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Part V of the Genesis Series - A visual metaphor of how I saw the combination of the beauty of the world with the beauty of the story of creation in the Holy Bible. What is interesting is that every religion across the world has a similar story about the creation of the world. I was inspired by a nearly disastrous time in 1998 when Hurricane Floyd, a level 5, size of Texas hurricane was heading straight for South Florida. I lived in Fort Lauderdale, but was evacuated to Sarasota Florida where I stayed with my good friends to be safe. By God's Grace, the Hurricane moved right up the Eastern Seaboard, but never made real landfall until way up north where it had weakened by then. Had it hit Southern Florida, it would have been devastating, instead, while standing on the beach Sunday night and watching the clouds move past the sunset at a rate of speed I will never witness again in my life with these exact colors; I was impacted profoundly forever about the power of Mother Nature and God's...
James Christopher Hill was born in Charleston, South Carolina in 1966. After working as a professional artist in the early 1980's, James finally received formal training at the prestigious Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL. In 1998, he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Computer Animation; a field that focused mainly on the understanding and discipline of master drawing and painting skills. His senior thesis entitled "Jataka" took home the Gold Oscar in the category of Best Student Computer Animation in 1998 from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. After he graduated he then returned to his love of painting utilizing his new skills and knowledge to create his ongoing style of...
