My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.

The Indian River Life-Saving Station museum offers an historic view of the fore-runner of the U.S. Coast Guard. During the 1800s, ships regularly hugged the coastline to aid in their navigation. As a result, an alarming number of ships were wrecked when they ran into shoals off the Atlantic coast. In 1876, the United States Life-Saving Service built the Indian River station to aid in rescue efforts. A dangerous occupation, the men who manned the life-saving station risked their own lives in many heroic rescue efforts. The Indian River Life Saving Station is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
