I have some theories on the muses that inspired Tom Thomson. I think I share the same muses. My good friends the Waddingtons think along the same lines. They tracked down the location on Cauchon Lake that inspired Tom Thomson and the iconic West Wind. With their blessings, I have painted from their inspirational images to create artwork number 1775 that I simply called "Inspiration". The tree that played the west wind actually blew down as Tom painted his sketch but a stump still remains. The weather from the spring of 2016 was different from Tomís but turbulent stratocumulus still aligned the clouds from the west.
