I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

The first painting of my new series "At Your Service," which will follow the growth and lives of these little pups, here a day old. This litter of 10 was born to Power Paws in November 2010, and they have generously agreed to allow me to share the pups' lives with you via my paintings. Of course, proceeds from the sale of these images will be donated back to Power Paws.

First and foremost, I am a Mom. This means I have eyes in the back of my head, spot on intuition, the patience of a saint and mountains of compassion. I am also a painter. I am asked at least once a week, “why do you paint?” Despite the frequency of this question, I have yet to come up with a particularly brilliant answer. It was not easy, especially when the mother got mastitis two weeks after they were born, and we had to feed the ten puppies by hand every 6 hours around the clock! But they all thrived!
