I grew up in the Prairie Grasses in Northern Iowa, now sadly mostly gone. As a kid I used to ride my horse along Jack Creek North of Emmetsburg, Iowa and just wonder at all the beauty with the clouds streaming over the unplowed meadows and the Red Wing Black Bird and Meadow Lark singing against the insistent call of the katydids. It was a learning experience for sure, but they do have a great feature, that you can "go back" 3 or four strokes and that sure helps. The hard part is getting the brushes to be the right size, that's kind of why I choose this subject, when overlaying the grasses they just kind of looked right.
