3 beautiful varieties of koi are presented with an orange decorative design strip of a repeating image of the Japanese symbol for ‘fish’ on a red background in this koi nature panel. The silver white-bodied koi (Platinum Ogon) is paired with the same decorative design of the Japanese symbol for ‘fish’ on its back. The golden yellow koi is of the Ogon variety of koi and the 3rd koi is known as ‘Hi’ (red) and has soft powder blue colored fins. There are approximately 22 classifications of Koi and over 100 color patterns currently recognized; assuredly more varieties will be developed. They are differentiated by body colors, color patterns and scale types or “Rin”. They are further grouped as metallic and non-metallic scales or scaleless or “leatherlike”. Subclassifications of scales include shiny or glitter called “Gin.” What I think you will like about this koi nature panel is that it is ROTATABLE! It can be printed and displayed either horizontally or rotated vertically and you can decide where this Koi art can hang in your home or office. It would be perfect for a nursery or child’s room.
